How to get to Masera
Masera is located at the entrance of Val Vigezzo, in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, and is easily accessible by car and public transport.
By Car
From Milan: take the A8 highway towards Gravellona Toce, then continue on the SS33 del Sempione expressway until the Masera – Val Vigezzo exit. Follow the signs to Masera.
From Turin: take the A4 highway to Santhià, then follow the A26 towards Gravellona Toce and continue on the SS33 del Sempione until the Masera – Val Vigezzo exit.
From Switzerland: Cross the Simplon Pass, follow the SS33 del Sempione to Domodossola, then take the provincial road to Masera.
By Train
- The nearest train station is Domodossola, served by regional and international trains (Milan – Genève line).
- From Domodossola, you can take the Vigezzina – Centovalli Railway to the Masera stop or take a taxi.
By Plane
The nearest airports are:
Milan Malpensa (MXP) – about 90 km from Masera
Turin Caselle (TRN) – about 160 km
Lugano-Agno (LUG) – about 100 km
From Milan Malpensa, you can take a train to Domodossola and then continue as described above.
